About Maya
Editor of Home Craft Blog.
I’m Maya, and I edit Home Craft Blog. The posts cover the practical side of making a room work: color, layout, small spaces, renter-friendly upgrades and the finishing details that make a room feel put together. Most readers arrive from a Pinterest pin, so every post has one job: deliver what the pin showed, with the sizes and prices you need to make it work in your own room.
What I care about
I check the numbers. If a post says a rug should be 8 by 10 feet or a shelf can carry 40 pounds, that figure has to hold up in a real room. If it names a paint color or a product, the product has to exist. If an image doesn’t match what the words describe, the image gets replaced.
I like knowing what something costs before committing to it, which is why posts give price ranges instead of a vague “affordable”. I would rather a post say one useful thing plainly than pad it out, and I keep reworking a paragraph or a picture until it’s right.
How posts are made
Posts are drafted with AI. I read and review every post and I edit and correct anything wrong: facts, writing, measurements, product names, images.
The room images are AI-generated illustrations: they show an idea, not a real home. The full standard is in the editorial policy. Some posts contain affiliate links; the affiliate disclosure explains how they work.
