Editorial Policy
What every post on this blog has to get right, and who checks it.
Last updated: October 5, 2026
What we publish
Home Craft Blog publishes decorating ideas for real rooms: color, layout, small spaces, renter-friendly upgrades, seasonal touches and the details that finish a room. Most readers find a post through Pinterest, so a post has to deliver what its pin promised, including the number of ideas the pin shows.
Who checks every post
Every post is signed by our editor, Maya. Posts are drafted with AI. Maya reads and reviews every post and edits and corrects anything wrong: facts, writing, measurements, product names, images.
What a post has to get right
- Measurements that work in a real room. Sizes, clearances and spacing are given in numbers, not adjectives.
- Real products and paint colors. A named product or color has to exist and be sold under that name.
- Honest prices. Prices are given as ranges, because they change from store to store and month to month.
- Safety where it matters. Where an idea involves open flame, electricity, heavy furniture or chemicals, the post says what to watch for and links to the official guidance. Older posts are being reviewed against this rule.
- No invented experience. Posts do not claim personal stories, test results or reviews that did not happen.
Images
Room images on this blog are AI-generated illustrations made for each post. They show an idea, not a real home, and they are replaced when they don’t match what the post describes.
Dates and corrections
A post shows the day it was first published. Its updated date changes only when a correction changes what the post tells you; fixing a typo or adding a link does not count. To report a mistake, email contact@homecraftblog.com with the post and the line in question.
Money and independence
Some posts contain affiliate links, and the site may show ads. Neither decides what a post recommends. How affiliate links work is explained on the affiliate disclosure page.
